Finishing Touches
This week has been slow. There is not much left to do on my dad's Firebird. All we did this week were some finishing touches to get the Firebird ready to have room in the barn.

Glove Box
Today I installed the glove box. The task seemed simple, but getting the glove box to open and close properly was hard. Due to the cardboard on the inside, the screws for the lid wouldn't tighten to keep the lid from moving. I placed a piece of rubber between them to space them out.

Installing the Hood
Today we picked up and installed the Firebird's new ram air hood. After we installed the hood, we realized the passenger side fender was not aligned correctly and needs to be adjusted to its proper position.

Rebuilding the Pontiac 400
First, we replaced all the rods and lifters. Next, we began rebuilding the motor and sealing the leaks properly.
Tearing Down the Firebird Motor
The 68 Firebird was close to being finished. We test drove the Firebird for the first time. My grandpa quickly noticed something was wrong. Back in the shop we discovered several leaks.

Clearing the air filter
We placed the hood on the car to see if the hood would hit the air filter. The hood did not clear the air filter and raised the hood up in the back.
